Another Eden Begins supports English text and English voice acting. If your Steam Demo opens in Japanese, use オプション (Options) → 言語設定 (Language) from its title screen. WFS identifies this exact path in its official language-fix announcement.

The menu issue does not mean you downloaded a Japanese-only game. It also does not require restarting the story: the publisher's solution is to change the language setting.

Follow the publisher's procedure if an older demo download still starts in Japanese:

WFS's September 4, 2026 announcement distinguishes existing downloads from downloads made after the fix. The latter use the player's Steam interface language as their default. Existing demo owners are directed to the in-game setting above.

This procedure is specifically documented for the Steam Demo. Do not use it as evidence of a Switch bug or assume every edition has an identical menu layout. If your screen differs, first confirm whether you opened the demo or the full game and record what menu you actually see. Reinstalling or deleting a save is not part of WFS's published language-fix procedure.

Checking a Nintendo or imported copy

The US listings for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 Edition list English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese under supported languages.

For a physical import, check the language information for the exact regional product you intend to buy. A US digital listing is not a substitute for the packaging or retailer details of a Japanese collector's edition.
