The full Another Eden Begins game launched on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 in September 2026. Before buying, separate three charges: the base game, an optional Switch 2 Edition upgrade, and optional character DLC. None of those add-ons replaces the base-game license.
Base-game price by storefront
The Steam US listing launched at $39.99. WFS's September 17 launch announcement listed the Japanese Switch standard edition at ¥4,980 and the Switch 2 Edition at ¥5,480. Those are launch references, not a live quote for every region or sale. Look at the Nintendo Switch listing or Switch 2 Edition listing for the price that applies to your account.
If you own the Switch version and later move to Switch 2, Nintendo sells a separate Upgrade Pack. The pack requires the base game; compare its current price with buying the Switch 2 Edition outright. Do not assume its price always equals the difference between the two full-game editions.
Character Packs and Season Pass
WFS announced five two-character packs. At the September 17 launch, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 and the Season Pass were available. Vol. 3–5 were scheduled for later in 2026. The Steam US DLC listing lists each released pack at $9.99 and the Season Pass at $44.99. The pass covers Vol. 1–5, but future packs become downloadable only when released.
| Purchase | Included content | Launch status |
|---|---|---|
| Base game | Main campaign and the base-game roster | Released |
| Character Pack Vol. 1 | Thillelille and Tiramisu | Released at launch |
| Character Pack Vol. 2 | Elseal and Benedict | Released at launch |
| Character Packs Vol. 3–5 | Six additional announced characters | Scheduled after launch |
| Season Pass | Entitlement to all five packs | Sold at launch; unreleased packs arrive later |
The WFS announcement lists the later pairs as Aoife and Wenefica; Isuka and Claude; and Ashtear and Victor. You do not need the Season Pass to play the base campaign. Buy the separate packs only if their characters and quests are worth the added cost to you, and confirm current availability in your storefront before paying.
Demo, physical copies, and promotional codes
A free demo is available, with official transfer instructions for the full game. That is useful for checking whether your PC runs the game or whether you enjoy its combat before purchasing. Nintendo and Steam use different save-transfer procedures.
A physical Switch copy can differ by region, retailer, and included material; the physical-edition guide covers the checks to make before importing. Promotional serial codes are for the separate mobile game Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space, not an in-game currency discount for Begins. The official site explains platform eligibility and expiration, so check those rules separately from the purchase price.
Quick answers
Does the Season Pass include the game?
No. WFS states that the base game is required to use the character content.
Are all five DLC packs available now?
Only Vol. 1 and 2 were available at the September 17 launch. The remaining packs have later release windows; check the current storefront for any that have since launched.
Is the Switch 2 Upgrade Pack a new full-game purchase?
No. It is for owners of the Switch base game who want the Switch 2 Edition features.
