Cetie is an optional ally in Another Eden Begins, not a character who joins automatically during the opening chapters. The RPG Site firsthand character reference lists his weapon as lance, his element as fire, and his recruitment as the New Encounter: Cetie side quest that unlocks in Chapter 15. These are better starting points than looking for him at the start of the game.
Recruiting Cetie
Progress the story until Chapter 15 and look for the New Encounter: Cetie quest marker. Follow that quest's in-game objectives to recruit him. The chapter-by-chapter walkthrough tracks side objectives as they open, so use its Chapter 15 section if you cannot see the marker yet. A missing marker before that chapter is not a recruitment bug.
After he joins, add Cetie to a Main or Another Party if you want him to gain experience while you continue the campaign. The walkthrough notes that members of an Another Party receive full EXP and Kinship EXP, while unassigned characters receive neither. This makes secondary parties useful for developing optional recruits without replacing your current frontline.
What Cetie brings to a party
Cetie's Spearhead tree contains Sonic Strike, a preemptive non-elemental magic attack whose damage improves with speed, and Seeker Lance, a Chain Skill triggered by non-type attacks. His Support Mech tree provides other tools. The character reference lists each skill's cost, target and unlock sequence; check the ability tree in your own save before planning a rotation around a skill you have not learned.
A practical setup is to treat Cetie as a fast specialist and fill remaining slots with recovery, protection and coverage for enemies resistant to your chosen attacks. Do not assume that a particular boss is weak to fire merely because Cetie uses fire-element skills. Read the enemy information and change the party if the first attempt exposes a mismatch.
Character and kinship quests
Recruitment is only the start of Cetie's side content. The walkthrough records his first kinship event at Kinship Level 3 and later events at Levels 4 and 5. It also records Cetie Ally Quest 3 as Food For Thought, beginning at the Elzion Gamma District Bar. If the next quest is not visible, check both your story progress and the displayed kinship requirement rather than repeating the recruitment quest.
