Kinship is one way Another Eden Begins develops its companions beyond the main plot. The official game site distinguishes encounter quests, character quests and kinship quests: the latter become available as your bond with a companion grows. If you want those scenes, recruit the character, keep them assigned to a party and revisit quest markers as their kinship rises.
Raise kinship without losing story progress
The RPG Site firsthand walkthrough records an important party rule: characters in the Main Party or an Another Party receive full EXP and Kinship EXP. Characters assigned to neither receive none. Check the party screen after recruiting an ally; an unused Another Party slot is a straightforward way to grow a companion while retaining your current main combat group.
This does not mean every event unlocks immediately at the next level. The walkthrough lists events alongside story progression and locations, so use both the event marker and current chapter when deciding what to do next. An event missing from the map can reflect a story gate as well as insufficient kinship.
Example event milestones
The walkthrough records Cetie Kinship Event 1 at Level 3 on the Administrator's Floor, Event 2 at Level 4 in the Elzion Gamma District Bar, and Event 3 at Level 5 in Miglance Castle 2F. These examples show why checking the event's location matters: reaching a level by itself does not teleport the scene to your current map. Other allies have their own event locations and timing.
What rewards should you expect?
Kinship events primarily expand a character's story. Character quests are a separate track. The RPG Site character reference explains that completing all of an ally's Character Quests awards a character badge. A character using the same weapon type can equip that badge to gain access to one of the original character's Chain Skills. Do not confuse this Character Quest reward with a gift from every individual Kinship Event.
A simple route
- Recruit an ally through their encounter or story requirement.
- Place them in a Main or Another Party before routine battles.
- Check their quest list and the map when kinship increases.
- Complete available events as you pass through their area, then return to the main story.
- Track Character Quests separately if you are aiming for the badge.
