Start with the performance target, not just the RAM
Another Eden Begins on Steam lists Windows 11, 8 GB RAM, DirectX 11, and 10 GB of available storage for both minimum and recommended PC configurations. The important difference is the CPU and GPU—and the performance target attached to each configuration.
The minimum specification targets 30 FPS at 1280 × 720 on Low. The recommended specification targets 60 FPS at 4K on High. These are the publisher's stated targets on the official Steam page, not results measured on every PC with similar parts.

The processor and graphics rows are alternatives, not a shopping list requiring hardware from all three manufacturers. For example, the table does not ask you to install AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA graphics cards together.
How to compare your own PC
Write down your exact processor and graphics-model names before comparing them with the table. “Core i5,” “Ryzen,” or “GeForce” alone describes a family, not the particular component listed by the publisher.
Check the following separately:
- Operating system: Windows 11 is the published requirement; do not treat an older Windows installation as confirmed support.
- Processor: compare the full model, not just its brand or i3/i5 label.
- Graphics: identify the chip the game will actually use, especially on a laptop with more than one graphics device.
- Memory: 8 GB meets the listed capacity, but says nothing by itself about CPU or GPU performance.
- Storage: the requirement is available space, not the drive's total advertised capacity.
A specification table is most useful as a screening tool. If your component is not named, the table alone does not tell you its exact frame rate. It also does not establish that a similarly named laptop graphics chip behaves identically to a desktop example.
Use the demo to answer the remaining questions
Try the demo on the PC you intend to use. Match the test to your intended play setup: resolution, graphics preset, display, and input device. Check text readability and how battles and exploration feel, not just whether the title screen opens.
For a useful comparison, change one setting at a time. For example, if you are testing a lower-end machine, assess the published Low/720p target before concluding that a problem at a higher resolution means the minimum specification is wrong.
Keep a note of the settings you used. If you later ask for troubleshooting help, an exact GPU model, resolution, preset, and description of the problem is more useful than “the Steam version runs badly.”

What about Steam Deck, macOS, or Linux?
The store's published requirements here are for Windows. The existence of an official Steam Deck save-transfer section is useful for locating a save, but it does not establish native Linux support, a particular Proton configuration, or Verified status.
For a Deck purchase decision, check Steam's current compatibility information and test the demo on the device. Do not use the Windows recommended-specification target as a Deck performance claim.
